FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Process of dissociation into hydrogen and sulphur is carried out in electrodeless discharge plasma at specific energy deposits in the range 0.5-1.0 eV/mol of hydrogen sulphide. Elementary sulphur is separated from obtained vapour-gas mixture, consisting of hydrogen sulphide that has not dissociated, hydrogen and sulphur vapours, by sulphur condensation, with hydrogen sulphide being separated from hydrogen and recirculated into dissociation zone. Process of sulphur condensation is carried out in post-discharge zone at optimal temperature of vapour-gas mixture ≥ 800°C.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to optimise process of sulphur collection in plasmochemical hydrogen sulphide dissociation.
