FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of an inorganic sorbent based on vermiculite. Sorbent production method involves treatment of natural swollen vermiculite with 5 % cellulose solution in 10–12 % hydrochloric acid, dispersion for 10 minutes during cavitation, exposure during 24–48 hours, neutralization ammonia solution. Obtained material is washed and held for a day in a saturated solution of copper chloride at a ratio of S:L=(1:2), is washed from copper ions and held for 2 hours in a saturated solution of potassium ferrocyanide at a ratio of S:L=(1:2). Then material is treated 5 % chitosan in 2 % acetic acid at ratio S:L=(1:1).
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a sorbent with high capacity and a cesium distribution coefficient.
