FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a device and apparatus for cleaning flue gases. Device comprises a flue gas circulation housing, inside which there is a filter having vertical filtering sleeves, and a catalyst with a channel structure, which channels have a hydraulic diameter of less than 6 mm, wherein the flue gases to be cleaned pass through the filtering sleeves and then through the catalyst. Catalyst is located above outlet of filtering sleeves at vertical distance (d), in 2.5–6 times exceeding hydraulic diameter of filtering sleeves and is divided into single elements, which are located in horizontal direction side by side inside housing in series in several rows and are removable in vertical direction from housing, wherein each unit element is equipped with a displacement means for movement of the corresponding unit element in the horizontal direction relative to the housing. Proposed plant comprises flue gas cleaning device and means to add denitrifying reagent to flue gases upstream of the device.

EFFECT: invention provides a compact, economical, practical and efficient flue gas cleaning device which enables simultaneous preservation of functions of decomposition of nitrogen oxides by catalytic method and removal of acid contaminants.
