FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to production of electro-technical anisotropic steel used in making magnetic conductors of power and distribution transformers. To ensure high magnetic permeability of steel and uniformity of magnetic properties, steel melting, casting, hot rolling, etching, double cold rolling with intermediate decarburizing annealing, application on magnesian coating strip, high-temperature and straightening annealing are performed. After the second cold rolling before the step of applying the magnesian coating, heating is carried out, wherein the strip in the non-corrosive atmosphere is heated to temperatures of 700–950 °C speed of not less than 100 °C/s, as well as cooling of heated strip in non-corrosive atmosphere to temperature of 650 °C or lower at a rate of not less than 30 °C/s immediately after achieving maximum temperature at heating stage in order to prevent primary recrystallisation. Then the strip is cooled down at random speed to ambient temperature. Further, the strip is subjected to subsequent processing operations.
EFFECT: method is particularly applicable in production of electrical anisotropic steel containing copper from 0,4 to 0,6 wt%.
