FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to microbiology, molecular genetics and biotechnology, and concerns creation of live vaccine on the basis of strain Enterococcus faecium L3 for preventing and treating pneumonia caused by pneumococcal Streptococcus pneumoniae. For this purpose in structure of saws Eneterococcus faecium L3 include an antigen of a clinically relevant pathogenic microorganism. This is achieved by introducing a gene pspf pathogenic pneumococci into the chromosomal DNA of the probiotic strain Eneterococcus faecium L3.
EFFECT: vaccine created on the basis of a probiotic strain of microorganisms possesses evident immunogenic and protective effects that provides its effectiveness in relation to any serum pneumococcus.
