FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cold rolling of strips. Equipment is designed to produce cuts on steel strip, intended for formation of cuts on both edges in direction of width of steel strip connecting sections, by means of which connected to each other rear end of previous steel strip and front end of next steel strip. This equipment comprises a cutting device and a grinding device. Cutting device performs cutting on both edges in the direction of width of steel strip sections, including connection, to form first cutout. Grinding device is made with possibility of grinding end surfaces of both edge in direction of width of steel strip sections located near connection with formation of second cut for removal of hardened during cutting sections of steel strip.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to perform cold rolling without breaks of welded seam even at rolling of brittle material or material from high alloy, such as electrotechnical silicon-steel sheet or high-strength sheet steel with high content of Si and Mn.
