FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an oxidation-preventing barrier layer on a part substrate and a substrate with said barrier layer. Oxygen-impermeable barrier-inhibiting barrier layer is physically deposited from the gas phase (PVD) on the part substrate non-coated surface. Part contains at least one of the group containing alloy, intermetallic compound and solid solution. Barrier layer preventing the oxidation is an oxide having the same metal components located in the unprotected surface of the treated part. Oxide layer grows spontaneously and is formed as a solid solution with corundum structure, creating barrier preventing oxidation barrier layer, which is self-sealing with respect to diffusion of oxygen. Said barrier layer includes droplets which are not completely oxidised. Sharp boundaries on which diffusion can occur are separated between the barrier layer and the droplet preventing oxidation. Coated part is heated to temperature of at least 800 °C.
EFFECT: preventing oxidation of the barrier layer remains mechanically stable in the oxidative atmosphere and reduces or prevents diffusion of oxygen into the substrate.
