FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in experimental evaluation of probability of failure-free operation of objects with exponential law of distribution of operation time to failure. Method for assessing the probability of failure-free operation of objects, in which for the established initial data determining the number of tested objects N, the boundaries of rejection, acceptance and continuation of tests, these objects are tested, objects which fail during testing are not restored, decision on acceptance, rejection or continuation of tests is taken at any moment by total time of tests or operating time and number of failures, tests are terminated by decision on acceptance or rejection. To reduce test time, number of tested objects N is increased by n times, and maximum test time of each object tz is decreased in the same number of times.

EFFECT: disclosed method provides reduced test time while maintaining reliability of investigations.
