METHOD OF PRODUCING SILVER NANOPARTICLES USING MODIFIED CHITOSAN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B22F9/24 B82Y40/00

Abstract RU 2701914 C1

FIELD: bionanotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bionanotechnology and can be used to produce nanoparticles based on said nanoparticles for use in the biomedical field as an antibacterial broad-spectrum agent. Silver nanoparticles are obtained in a medium of modified chitosan, in which the polymer plays the role of a stabilizer of nanoparticles and a reducing agent of silver ions. Water-soluble modified chitosan with a covalently bound antioxidant – gallic acid is used, on the basis of which a solution with concentration of 1 mg/ml is prepared. Then pH is adjusted to 7–12 with the help of aqueous ammonia, then a solution of silver nitrate with concentration of 2 mg/ml is added to the initial solution with constant stirring. Ratio of the volume of the solution of modified chitosan to the volume of the silver nitrate solution is 10:1–5:3. Process is carried out at temperature 25–95 °C for 15–45 minutes, after which the reaction mass is dialyzed, centrifuged to obtain a solution of stabilized silver nanoparticles.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain silver nanoparticles sized from 10 to 100 nm, stabilized by a modified biopolymer with stability of product for 6 months.
