FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to Rankin cycle on organic working medium (ORC) for conversion of heat from its source into mechanical energy. ORC contains closed circuit with two-phase working body, wherein said circuit includes a liquid pump for circulation of working medium in said circuit in series through an evaporator in thermal contact with said heat source, through an expander to convert thermal energy of the working medium into mechanical energy and through a capacitor in thermal contact with the cooling element. According to the invention, the expander is located above the evaporator, and the outlet hole for the fluid medium of the evaporator is connected to the inlet hole for the fluid medium of the expander by means of a lifting column filled with a mixture of a liquid working medium and gas bubbles of the working medium supplied to the expander, wherein at least part of the lifting string passes at the same level or above the level of the inlet opening of the expander, thereby enabling gravitational flow of the liquid working medium supplied by the lifting string into the reamer.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of heat conversion into operation.
