SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding and decoding of images. Disclosed is a method of decoding multiple samples of an encoded image, the method comprising steps of decoding a luminance component, as well as a first chrominance component and a second chrominance component of at least one coded sample to provide a luminance component, as well as a first chrominance component and a second chroma component of at least one reconstructed sample; decoding at least one filtering parameter; and looping the sample-adaptive offset with respect to said at least one reconstructed sample using at least one decoded filtering parameter, wherein when the type of loop filtering of the sample-adaptive offset is a first type, at least one decoded filtering parameter is used as a filtering parameter shared by the first and second chrominance components to perform first-type filtering with respect to the first and second chroma components, wherein the first type of loop filtering of the sample-adaptive offset is one of the boundary type filtering and the filtering of the band-type type, and when the type of loop filtering of the sample-adaptive offset is a second type different from said first type, other decoded filtration parameters are used as selected filtration parameters for performing filtration of the second type with respect to the first and second chroma components respectively, wherein the second type of loop filtration of the displacement-adaptive offset is the other of the band-type and boundary-type filtration.
EFFECT: optimization of encoding and / or decoding of compensation offsets for a set of restored image samples in order to provide improvement in efficiency of encoding video codec and / or decoding complexity.
