FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method of extracting Zn (II) and Mn (II) ions from aqueous solutions by extraction with tributyl phosphate involves contacting the extractant and solution, stirring the mixture, settling and separating phases. For selective extraction of Zn (II) and Mn (II) ions from aqueous solutions of a mixture of their salts, they are first carried out by extraction of Zn (II) ions with tributyl phosphate from an aqueous solution with concentration of 3 n. HCl, 240 NaCl g/dm3 and temperature 20 °C TBP added portionwise. Method then includes re-extraction of zinc ions from extract with water to form a solution of zinc salt and then depositing manganese from raffinate ammonia while blowing solution with air at pH=8–8.5 and temperature of 50–55 °C.
EFFECT: method provides high selectivity of extraction of zinc and manganese ions from aqueous solutions of their salts.
