FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cellular communication. Technical result is achieved due to mobility management object (MME) in cellular communication network, receiving, by MME from base station, a message related to suspension or resuming connection of user equipment (UE), in response to receiving of this message, it is determined by means of MME whether key update condition is fulfilled, if key updating condition is performed, redirecting by means of MME to base station a new pair 'next transit section (NH), chain counter of next transit sections (NCC)', wherein NH is a parameter which is used when obtaining a master level key associated with providing access (AS), and NCC is a parameter associated with a key to be used during subsequent resumption.
EFFECT: high safety of using keys in a cellular communication network.
