FIELD: textile and paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special-purpose textile materials and relates to nonwoven heat insulating arc-resistant material. Nonwoven material is made in the form of an isotropic structure – a solid porous medium formed of a mixture of fibers, one of which is oxidised polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers from precursors for carbon fiber. Disclosed solution can be used in heat insulation of articles, objects, buildings, structures, composite articles for protection against high and low temperatures, as well as thermal risks of electric arc.
EFFECT: invention improves fire resistance of material when exposed to open flame and arc resistance of material – thermal risks of electric arc.
