FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drying, heat treatment of beet pulp and can be used in food industry. Drum drier comprises a charging device, a drying agent discharge pipe, a dried material discharge hopper, a non-movable cylindrical casing, equipped with drying agent supply pipes, and perforated drum concentrically arranged in casing. Casing and perforated drum are made two-section, at that each section of drum is installed in rolling bearings with possibility of independent coaxial rotation relative to separately arranged fixed casing, which are equipped with nozzles for supplying drying agents of different temperature potential, arranged so that drying agents pass through layer of disperse material, located inside sections of drum, at angle of natural slope, wherein the drying agent in the first drum section is hot air, and in the second section is superheated steam, wherein in the end wall at the outlet of the first drum section and in the end wall at the inlet of the second drum section, a horizontal cylinder is coaxially mounted in the rolling bearings, inner surface of which screw is fixed, wherein independent rotation of cylinder from additional drive by means of screw provides for reloading of disperse material from one section of drum to another, preventing mixing of waste drying agents.

EFFECT: intensification of drying process and higher quality of finished material.
