Abstract RU 2703503 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to a Huber safe needle assembly. Huber safe needle assembly comprises a housing having an upper portion, a lower portion and a hinge mechanism; a needle having a needle tip and configured to be placed in the body; and an upper gripping portion connected to the upper portion, and a second gripping portion connected to the lower portion. Hinge mechanism is configured to move the housing between the closed configuration and the open configuration by displacing the upper portion and the lower portion from each other with respect to the longitudinal axis extending through the needle, the closed configuration configured to allow passage of at least a portion of the needle, including a needle tip, below the lower surface of the lower portion of the body, and the open configuration is configured to provide a rigid arrangement of the needle tip in limits of lower section, so that it does not protrude below bottom surface of lower section. Hinge mechanism comprises an upper portion, a middle section and a lower portion and has hinges, wherein the upper portion of the hinge mechanism is configured to connect the hinge mechanism to the upper housing portion, and the lower portion of the hinge mechanism is configured to connect the hinge mechanism to the lower housing portion, wherein the hinge mechanism comprises: a top hinge comprising an upper rotatable pin structure having pivot pins and configured to connect the hinge mechanism top section to each housing side, a hinge joint representing a thinned area allowing the material to bend, and a lower hinge comprising a lower pivot pin structure, having pivot pins and configured to connect the hinge mechanism lower portion to each side of the housing.
