FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment and specifically to embodiments of a bariatric clamp. In the first embodiment, the clamp comprises a first elongated portion comprising a first substrate element and a first molded polymer portion surrounding the first substrate element. Clamp has a second elongated portion comprising a second substrate element and a second overmolded polymer portion surrounding the second substrate element. Clamp comprises a curved portion comprising a third overmolded polymer portion forming a flexible hinge connecting the first and second elongated portions at their respective proximal ends. One of the first elongated portion and the second elongated portion is bent to match the patient's gastric curvature when the bariatric clamp is in the closed position. In the second embodiment of the clamp, the bent section comprises a flexible hinge connecting the first and second elongated sections on their respective proximal ends. First and second inserts are made with possibility of forced reduction to each other by means of magnetism to hold clamp in closed position. First insert is located between first substrate element and first molded polymer section. Second insertion is located between the second element of the substrate and the second over molded polymer section. In third embodiment of clamp curved portion comprises a third overmolded polymer portion that forms a flexible hinge connecting the first and second elongated portions at their respective proximal ends. First elongated segment includes the first sutures designed to facilitate the formation of a seam joint with the patient's stomach. Second elongated segment includes second sutures designed to facilitate the formation of a seam joint with the stomach of the patient. One of the first and second seam sections comprises a recess or hole extending through the corresponding overmolded polymer portion and the corresponding substrate element.
EFFECT: technical result is wider range of bariatric clamps.
