FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of zinc stearate and can be used in production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composites, synthetic rubber, oil producing and oil refining industry, in production of artificial leather and linoleum, medical preparations and perfume and cosmetic industry. Method of producing zinc stearate is carried out by reacting stearic acid and zinc oxide in equimolar ratio with intense stirring in the solid phase. At first, reaction mixture is exposed to multiple impact loads by rotating multi-tier blades of jet mill in pseudo-liquefied layer at temperature below melting point of stearic acid. After impact of multiple impact loads by rotating multilayered blades of jet mill reaction mixture is directed into oscillating extrusion mixer, in which deformation stirring is carried out at a temperature of the reaction mass higher than the melting point of stearic acid, but lower than the melting point of zinc stearate.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain zinc stearate with stable quality indices using a continuous method in a time which is 4,5 times less compared to the prototype.
