FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to versions of a method of producing a vulcanization activator. One with the method of producing a vulcanization activator involves grinding a mixture or a solid support and zinc oxide or a solid support, zinc oxide and a fatty acid selected from a series with general formula CH3(CH2)nCOOH, where n=10–20, or CH3(CH2)nCH=CH(CH2)nCOOH, where n=5–10, in working chamber of one or several rotary-inertia mills with shear force of 10–50 N at shear rate of 20–100 m/s. Another method of producing vulcanization activator involves grinding a mixture or a solid carrier and zinc oxide or a solid support, zinc oxide and a fatty acid selected from a series with general formula CH3(CH2)nCOOH, where n=10–20, or CH3(CH2)nCH=CH(CH2)nCOOH, where n=5–10, in working chamber of one or several rod mills under action of impact forces with collision rate of 50–230 m/s.
EFFECT: simplification of the process owing to the absence of the need to separate the activator from the aqueous solution of the polymer surfactant and recuperation of the latter; improved indicators of vulcanized rubber.
