FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: use: to detect the level of liquid metal inside mold crystallizer. Summary of invention consists in the fact that mold is equipped with system for detecting level of liquid metal inside mold crystallizer, wherein the detection system is based on the transmission of at least one detection signal transmitted in the direction of the crystalliser, and a phase of receiving at least one received measured signal, depending on the transmitted detection signal and the mold; also disclosed is a continuous casting machine equipped with such a mold.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of accurate and precision measurements.
