SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for assessing the risk of developing acute pancreatitis in the patients with high intra-abdominal pressure. It involves ultrasonic diagnostics of a superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and a superior mesenteric vein (SMV). Dynamics of maximum blood flow to systole Vmax is determined, minimum blood flow velocity in diastole Vmin and volume velocity of blood flow Vvol. If observing the growth of the above SMA indicators and the inversely proportional decrease of Vmax and Vvol in the SMV, the acute pancreatitis development coefficient is calculated by the claimed formula. At value Cpd>2 risk of developing acute pancreatitis is high. When Cpd<2 – risk is assessed as low.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of analysis when assessing potential development of acute pancreatitis in patients with high intra-abdominal pressure.
