SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser equipment. Method for increasing the repetition frequency of ultrashort high-power laser pulses in a limited sequence includes introducing a limited initial sequence of pulses into an optical resonator, which full bypass time is different from the time interval between pulses of the initial sequence, simultaneous accumulation of pulses with a higher repetition frequency by changing the same parameter of each input pulse of the initial sequence, forming a new sequence therefrom, and further outputting the obtained new pulse sequence from the optical resonator through the optical shutter. In the optical resonator, a nonlinear optical element is placed, through which the wavelength of the laser radiation used as a variable parameter of each incoming pulse of the original sequence is converted, and laser radiation with wave length of initial sequence is introduced into optical resonator and removed from it using dichroic mirrors.

EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling formation of sequences of short laser pulses with high repetition frequency and high power, which does not depend on the threshold of optical element breakdown.
