FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of briquette for alloying of zinc melt containing alloying material, flux and shell. It can be used for zinc-plating of products or workpieces from steel by their immersion into melt of zinc. Nickel powder which is subjected to symmetrical horizontal vibration and which contains fine-grained and coarse-grained fractions is mixed with the flux dissolved in water and the mixture is dried. Melted liquid polymer is poured into the mixture to form a shell and vacuum pressing is performed.

EFFECT: higher concentration of nickel in melt of zinc at increase in strength and density of briquette.
