SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochromic devices. Electrochromic device comprising a plurality of layers comprises: from bottom to top: substrate; a lower transparent conducting layer comprising at least one sublayer of different transparent conducting layers of materials; first electrochromic layer containing at least one sublayer of different electrochromic materials; an ion-conducting layer comprising at least one sublayer of different ion-conducting materials; a second electrochromic layer comprising at least one sublayer of different electrochromic materials; and an upper transparent conductive layer containing at least one sublayer of different transparent conducting layers of materials. At least one of the plurality of layers comprises a levelling layer whose upper surface roughness is less than the upper surface roughness of the lower layer in contact with the lower surface of said at least one levelling layer. Depressions of the layer located below are filled with lower surface of at least one levelling layer.

EFFECT: invention provides high wear-resistance.
