TISSUE-ADHESIVE POROUS HAEMOSTATIC PRODUCT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61L15/26 A61K38/39 A61L15/42 A61L15/58 A61P7/04

Abstract RU 2704259 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing an adhesive haemostatic product, said method comprising steps of: providing a solid porous substrate; coating a substrate with a coating liquid containing electrophilically activated polyoxazoline (EL-POX) and a solvent to obtain a coated substrate, wherein said EL-POX contains at least 2 reactive electrophilic groups; removing the solvent from the coated substrate. Method of the present invention provides the use of a coating with EL-POX which leaves the porous substrate structure substantially invariable so that the ability of the porous substrate to absorb body fluids, such as blood, remains substantially unaffected. Present invention also relates to a haemostatic product with a tissue adhesion property selected from a coated cellular material, a coated foam material and a coated powder, wherein said haemostatic product comprises: solid porous substrate with porosity of at least 5 vol. % and with an outer surface which contains a nucleophilic polymer containing reactive nucleophilic groups; adhesive coating which covers at least part of solid substrate, wherein said coating contains electrophilically activated polyoxazoline (EL-POX), wherein said EL-POX contains, on average, at least 1 reactive electrophilic group.

EFFECT: as result, EL-POX-coated haemostatic product obtained by the method of the present invention has excellent adhesion properties due to the presence of electrophilic reactive groups which are capable of reacting, for example, with amino groups which are naturally present in the tissue, with formation of covalent bonds.
