FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of purifying water from suspended particles, including microplastics and can be used in food, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries, as well as in waste water treatment systems. Method of water purification from microplastic includes treatment with sorbent. Sorbent used is a high-density natural granular material – garnet with a granule size of 30×40 (mesh). Purification is carried out by filtration of drinking and waste water through a sorbent with layer thickness of 0.5 m at water flow rate of 1.2-1.5 l/min.
EFFECT: high-quality purification of water from microplastic.
