SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical elements, in particular to compact elements for focusing and collection of laser radiation. Optical fiber sensor includes a focusing and a collecting element which are formed from the optical fiber of the sensor by melting the end face with giving it a sphere-like shape, the diameter of which exceeds the diameter of the optical fiber by 1.2–1.5 times.

EFFECT: technical result of claimed invention is improved manufacturability, reduced cost, reduced dimensions.
