FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in laser scalpels, coagulators, and also in laser technological installations for surgical operations by creating a laser scalpel with a complex spatial shape of the radiation focusing area — a photon hook.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce energy losses in the optical path and simplify the design due to the exclusion of the amplitude mask from the design, while this is achieved by creating a completely phase optical path and an optical fiber laser tip. The laser scalpel consists of a laser radiation source, an optical fiber optically coupled to the radiation source, and a focusing tip of the laser scalpel that forms a photon hook and is made in the form of a truncated cone with non-parallel bases, the large base is optically connected to the fiber, and the smaller base is at an angleα to a larger base of at least 20 degrees, and made of a material with a refractive index of at least 1.3 and not more than 2.
