FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electrical engineering for wireless transmission of high-frequency electric power. According to the method two asymmetric microstrip transmission lines are used, which when they approach each other form a directional coupler on symmetric strip lines with face communication, characterized by high coefficient of signal energy transfer from one line to another and low parasitic radiation of energy into free space. At the same time unused ends of microstrip lines are short-circuited to the ground or left free. Additionally, a standing wave ratio is measured in the first microstrip transmission line. In the absence or considerable removal of the second microstrip transmission line, the standing wave ratio in the first microstrip transmission line is large. High-frequency signal generator generating power for transmission is switched to generation mode of low power, level of which is required solely for measurement of standing wave ratio. Non-productive energy losses are minimized. When the second microstrip transmission line approaches the first, a process of directed energy transfer occurs and the standing wave coefficient in the first line drops. When it falls below a certain level, the generator of high-frequency oscillations is switched to the mode of generation of maximum power and effective wireless energy transfer is performed with minimum losses of power.

EFFECT: simple design of elements of a wireless energy transmission system, reduced non-productive energy losses caused by its radiation into free space, and lost in feeders and elements of the structure of generating devices, as well as reduced harmful effect of energy of emitted high-frequency oscillations on human and other biological objects located in the zone of action of wireless energy transmission system.
