FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to folding aerodynamic surfaces of unmanned aerial vehicles. Folding aerodynamic steering wheel of aircraft comprises connected by semi-axes root part and unfolding rotary part, made with possibility of locking, source of high pressure gas and compression spring, used as mechanical drive and located in root part of steering wheel. Opening mechanism consists of a rod resting on a compression spring and connected through an axle with a link, as well as a retainer for locking an opening part connected to the rod via a bridge. Link is pivotally connected through intermediate axis with rotary part and has above axis with rod groove equal to half diameter of rod axis. Axis of rod is cut at half of its diameter at point of rotation of link. Together translating movement of retainer and link provides synchronous operation of opening and locking parts of mechanism.
EFFECT: use of high-pressure gas source as one of elements of steering wheel opening together with compression spring allows to obtain significant opening moment.
