SUN-REFLECTING COATING COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C09D5/00 C09D5/32 C09D201/00 C08K5/00

Abstract RU 2768709 C2

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a group of inventions: a sun-reflecting coating composition, a substrate, a method of producing a lightweight aerospace component and a vehicle. This composition includes: a film-forming resin; several pigments transparent in the near infrared range; pigment reflecting in the near infrared range. Pigments, transparent in the near infrared range, are dispersed in a film-forming resin, wherein the plurality of pigments comprise a first perylene pigment and a second perylene pigment different from the first perylene pigment. Near infrared reflecting pigment is dispersed in film-forming resin, wherein the pigment reflecting in the near infrared range is different from the first perylene pigment and the second perylene pigment. After formation of cured coating on substrate, cured coating has grayish-white or gray color, corresponding to following values in color space CIELAB: value L* in range from 40 to 95; a* value in the range of minus 2 to 2 and a b* value in the range of minus 6 to 6. This composition does not contain technical carbon. Substrate includes a surface at least partially coated with a sun-reflecting coating composition. This method involves applying a coating composition to at least a portion of the surface of an aerospace component and curing the sun-reflecting coating composition to form a sun-reflecting layer. Vehicle comprising a surface at least partially coated with a sun-reflecting coating composition.

EFFECT: development of a coating composition applied on aerospace components, preventing heat accumulation of temperature-sensitive aerospace components, caused by absorption of solar radiation; and obtaining a lightweight component for aerospace purposes.
