FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing foamed plastic moulded articles, which are suitable as a structural element for production of spacecraft, aircraft, water transport means and ground vehicles. Single-step method includes the steps of: grinding a polymer molded article from poly(meth)acrylimide, coating the ground material with an adhesion promoter, loading the coated ground material into a mold, heating the mold, cooling the mold to a temperature below the foaming temperature and taking a foamed plastic moulded article out of the mold. Two-step method differs from the single-step one by that after the step of grinding the polymer molded article it is preliminarily foamed.
EFFECT: technical result is producing foamed plastic moulded articles, which have high mechanical properties.
