FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building. Flywheel of alternating moment of inertia comprises shaft on which disk is rigidly fixed and T-like flywheel via bearing. Disk and the flywheel are engaged one after another at a certain rotation speed. There are three rods with a massive cylinder at the end for the coupling on the disk. Rods under action of centrifugal forces are dropped from center to periphery, enter into recesses on flywheel and rigidly engage flywheel with disc, thereby providing a high moment of inertia to the system as a whole when the predetermined speed is achieved.
EFFECT: enabling easy start-up at small moment of inertia with further increase when flywheel predetermined rotation speed is achieved.
