METHOD FOR SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF CUBITAL TUNNEL SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/56

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in treating cubital tunnel syndrome. Method involves access to the elbow joint at the level of the cubital tunnel, dissection of the fibrotic changed Osborn's ligament, performance of neurolysis with hydropreparation, epineurium opening along the whole pathological process and excision of the pinched nerve from cicatrixes. At the level of pinching, the ulnar nerve is enveloped with a collagen membrane "Kollost", with formation of a channel by suturing the membrane edges along the length of interrupted sutures with a biodegradable suture. It is followed by hemostasis and wound closure. Drainages, an aseptic dressing and Deso's dressing are placed.

EFFECT: method provides the maximum reduction of the risk of nerve injuries and the probability of recurrence, is simple to implement, is performed using available materials by forming a channel from a collagen membrane isolating the pinched nerve from mechanical action on it.
