FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and neurosurgery, and can be used for retrograde decompression of an ulnar nerve within a cubital canal under endoscopic control. Surgical intervention involves an open linear mini-approach 2-2.5 cm long in a projection of Osborne’s membrane in the upper one-third of the forearm. Ulnar nerve is exposed under direct visual control. Endoscope is inserted between the roof of the cubital canal and the overlying soft tissues, then under the control of the optics of the endoscope throughout the cubital canal, the ulnar nerve is decompression in the retrograde, proximal direction to the lower one-third of the shoulder, layer-by-layer wound closure is performed with application of an intradermal cosmetic suture and an aseptic label.
EFFECT: method provides safety of intervention, faster postoperative wound healing, early activation of patients, improves the cosmetic result of the intervention, reduces the period of temporary disability due to the fact that all surgical manipulations are carried out under direct visual control, and decompression of the ulnar nerve in the cubital canal is performed retrograde under endoscopic control, as well as the longitudinal direction of the soft tissue incision and its continuation in the proximal direction directly during the operation.
