FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: field of application: electrical equipment. Presented foster child control of DC high-voltage switch closing. Proposed method comprises the following stages: closing of tripping elements of transfer section (2) group by group, closing of main section (1) and opening of transfer section. In process of closing of tripping elements in transmission part in groups checking for presence of damage in power transmission system after closing a group of disconnecting elements; if there is no damage, closes the next group of disconnecting elements until all groups of disconnecting elements are closed, only then the next stage is executed; if there is damage, all disconnecting elements which have already been closed open, and closing process is terminated. Due to this method it is possible to supply preliminary charge to power transmission system during short-circuit of high-voltage switch of direct current, which reduces overvoltage and oscillation of the system caused by closing.
EFFECT: reduced probability of voltage surges and oscillations of the system at closing and provision of reliable and safe functioning of energy transmission systems.
