FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used for assessment of average daily and daily blood pressure levels. Manual isometric physical load (IPL) test is performed at the first and subsequent visits to the doctor. One measures arterial pressure (AP) on two hands, selects the arm, on which the higher level of AP – "dominant" has been determined. After 5 minutes, a maximum force in the patient's "dominant" arm is determined by means of a manual dynamometer. After 10 minutes AP is measured on "dominant" hand immediately before test with IPL. Patient then compresses dynamometer for 3 minutes with force of 30 % of the maximum load. At end of 3rd minute of continuous compression of the dynamometer, the AP level is fixed at the load peak. Average daily and daily AAP levels are assessed by comparing the derived AP values before and at the peak of the load at the last and previous visits to the doctor according to the proposed original formulas.
EFFECT: method enables assessing average daily and daily blood pressure levels of a patient without using a daily arterial pressure monitor (DAPM), without actually carrying out DAPM, promotes detection of individuals with high cardiovascular risk, preventing occurrence of complications, enables assessing the effectiveness of the conducted antihypertensive therapy by performing the patients with manual isometric physical exercise.
