FIELD: medicine; cardiology.
SUBSTANCE: ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) is provided. In the morning hours time intervals (TI) are selected on a curve of BP daily dynamics. At that, morning BP is calculated based on arithmetic mean of 7–8 measurements for any of fixed TIs, selected depending on BP rate of increase without communication with diary of patient and time of awakening or rising. TI are selected either from 5 to 7 o'clock, or from 7 to 9 o'clock, or from 9 to 11 o'clock.
EFFECT: method enables eliminating subjectivism from assessing the degree of BP increase, increasing the effectiveness of preventive measures, selecting the most effective antihypertensive therapy, besides, the method has a high level of validity.
