FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, namely to a cell spheroid, its production and evaluation of the effect on the functional activity of melanocytes. Method involves suspending a melanocyte culture in a complete growth medium for melanocytes, sowing the melanocyte culture on petri dishes in density of 104 kl/cm2, passaging of culture to produce culture of melanocytes of passage 3, dissolution of agarose in basic growth medium to obtain agarose solution with concentration of 20 g/l, placing agarose solution into a plastic mold to obtain a plastic mold containing polymerised agarose, extruding polymerised agarose from a plastic mold into a base growth medium to obtain an agarose plate and transplanting culture of passage 3 melanocytes on prepared agarose plate to obtain cell spheroid. Cell spheroid is placed in a complete growth medium for melanocytes, is in non-adhesive conditions, contains 500–3,000 melanocytes, has a spherical shape, a smooth surface, diameter of 50–200 mcm, is capable of melanin synthesis, wherein the melanocytes in the spheroid composition do not proliferate in the absence of the assessed physical and/or chemical effect. Method for evaluating effect of functional activity of melanocytes using cell spheroid includes physical and/or chemical action on cellular spheroid, measurement of functional activity level of melanocytes in cell spheroid and evaluation of effect of impact by comparing level of functional activity of melanocytes in cell spheroid subjected to action, with level of functional activity of melanocytes in cell spheroid of control group.

EFFECT: invention widens the range of available technical means.
