FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of monitoring the value of protective potential on a protected object, namely to comparison electrodes of non-polarized copper sulphate, and can be used in cathodic protection stations for measuring potential of underground metal structures. Higher reliability of electrode operation is achieved due to that its housing is made of ceramic material with open porosity, which occupies from 20 to 40 % of its area, and electrolyte additionally contains gypsum or pearlite in following ratio of components, wt%: gypsum or pearlite 10–50; copper salt 5–30; water 5–30; ethylene glycol 5–15.
EFFECT: higher reliability of electrode operation.
