FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and cardiology. Medical device comprises a metal extensible body configured to be placed in a biological space defined by the inner surface of the biological space wall. Expandable body further comprises a main portion further comprising a proximal neck, a proximal region and a distal region, a distal neck, wherein the proximal neck is connected to the proximal region, the proximal region is connected to the distal region, and the distal region is connected to the distal neck; and wall, extending continuously through a proximal neck, a proximal region, a distal region and a distal neck, forming an outer surface of the expandable body and an inner surface of the expandable body, wherein the inner surface defines an inner volume of the expandable body. Expandable body is configured to take a single-segment form when expanding. When expanding, the expandable body is configured to reduce blood flow into the biological space due to the expanded expandable body in the biological space. Expandable body is configured so that during its expansion in the biological space lumen, the expanded expandable body is in contact with a portion of the biological space wall, while an unfilled area remains between the expanded expandable body and the inner surface of the walls of the biological space opposite the opening from the vessel into the biological space lumen. Catheter delivery device comprises a longitudinally extending body which comprises a proximal end and a distal end substantially opposite the proximal end, wherein the distal end of the catheter delivery device is functionally connected to the expandable body, and a wire element in contact with the outer surface of the distal portion of the expandable expandable body. Wire element is configured to contact the inner surface of the wall of the biological space opposite the opening in the aneurismal lumen in the point where the expandable body is inserted into the lumen of the biological space.
EFFECT: device provides effective treatment of vascular aneurysms and occlusion of blood vessel segments.
