FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for filling of a portion of a blood vessel lumen, an aneurysm or other vascular pathology using a metal balloon comprises the steps of: compressed metal balloon positioning in the desired position with a catheter attached to the balloon; inflation and expansion of a compressed balloon using a fluid; inflated balloon separation from the catheter and balloon placement in the desired position and catheter withdrawal. After separation, the inflated balloon remains inflated without at least one of: i) action of pressure inside the inflated balloon higher than outside the inflated balloon; or ii) presence of a valve. According to the second embodiment, a method for blood vessel occlusion or vascular pathology treatment using a balloon made of ductile metal comprises the steps of: compressed balloon positioning using a catheter in the desired position in the vascular system; inflation and expansion of the balloon by means of fluid; and catheter separation from the balloon. The inflated cylinder remains in the required position. After separation, the inflated balloon remains inflated without at least one of: i) action of pressure inside the inflated balloon higher than outside the inflated balloon; or ii) presence of a valve. According to the third embodiment, a method for blood vessel occlusion or treatment of an aneurysm or other vascular pathology using a balloon made of ductile metal comprises the steps of: blood vessel accessing with a needle; conductor advance through the needle; needle extraction; conductor placement in the required position in the vascular system; compressed balloon placement in the desired position in the vascular system by means of a catheter; conductor extraction; container inflation and expansion by fluid; catheter separation from the balloon and catheter removal. The inflated cylinder remains in the required position. After separation, the inflated balloon remains inflated without at least one of: i) action of pressure inside the inflated balloon higher than outside the inflated balloon; or ii) presence of a valve.
EFFECT: inventions provide occlusion of blood vessels and vascular aneurysms by means of a detachable metal balloon that is inflated to fill the cavity, separated from the delivery device, remaining inflated, does not require the presence of a valve, and enables the subsequent shape change to fill the cavity.
