BALLOON STRUCTURE AND APPLICATION METHOD THEREOF Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61F2/06 A61B17/12 A61F2/95 A61M25/10 A61M25/12

Abstract RU 2695288 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, in particular, to a medical device comprising a balloon structure and delivering a catheter for treating saccular aneurysms of the vascular system. Medical device for treating saccular aneurysms comprises a catheter and a compressed hollow metal structure attached to the catheter. Metal structure, when expanded, comprises one segment having a wall with an inner surface defining a cavity and an outer surface with an opening in the wall that allows fluid to flow into the cavity. Cavity of the metal structure and the catheter lumen can be connected by a fluid. Passage of fluid from the catheter into the cavity of the metal structure results in its expansion. Moreover, the expanded hollow metal structure has considerable rigidity to remain in the expanded state when implanted under natural conditions with the open embodiment and maintain an expanded configuration after the expanded hollow metal structure is separated from the catheter, when the pressure inside and outside the cavity of the expanded hollow metal structure is the same or similar. According to a second embodiment of the device, the compressed hollow metal structure and the catheter are connected by a friction joint, without an adhesive joint, soldering or welding. According to a third embodiment, the device comprises a component configured to separate an expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter, wherein the actuation of the component cuts or tears a portion of the expanded hollow metal structure, which results in the separation of the expanded metal structure and the catheter. In accordance with a fourth embodiment of the device, the component is configured to cause separation of the expanded metal structure and the catheter by dissolving a portion of the expanded hollow metal structure by electrolysis. According to a fifth embodiment of the device, the catheter is attached to the compressed hollow metal structure by welding or soldering between the metal structure and the catheter, and the component is configured to cause separation of the expanded metal structure and catheter by dissolving the weld joint or solder by electrolysis, which leads to separation of the expanded metal structure and the catheter. In accordance with a sixth embodiment of the device, the catheter is attached to a compressed hollow metal structure by adhesion, and the component is configured to cause separation of the expanded metal structure and the catheter by heating and melting the adhesive joint. According to a seventh embodiment, the device comprises a catheter and a balloon structure attached to the catheter having a wall with an inner surface. Wall thickness is in the range of 3 mcm to about 60 mcm. Other versions of the devices are variations of the previous versions.

EFFECT: said inventions provide a more effective and complete hermetic sealing of saccular aneurysms and are more reliable and permanent.
