FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used in determining complex dielectric permeability of biological particles and cells. For this purpose, a suspension of biological cells in 0.3 M sucrose solution is placed between electrodes of a measuring cell and an inhomogeneous alternating electric field (IAEF) is created. At the stage of interaction of the biological cell with the IAEF, searching for the equilibrium frequency ωe, on which the translational movement of the biological cell in suspension relative to the electrodes of the measuring cell and its rotational movement about its own axis is completely stopped. When field frequency is changed, said equilibrium frequency ωe is measured using a frequency meter. Specific resistance of biological cells suspension ρcp are determined by bridge method at frequency ωe. Biological cell radius rcell and relative dielectric permeability εcp cell suspension is calculated through equation of capacity of flat capacitor. Complex dielectric permeability ε*cell cells are calculated as square root of sum of squares of relative dielectric permeability of cell suspension εcp and its imaginary part ε'cp at equilibrium frequency ωe.
EFFECT: invention provides determining the dielectric permittivity of a living biological cell.
