FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for visualization, mathematical modeling and manufacturing of three-dimensional objects. Disclosed method for contactless measurement of three-dimensional objects involves formation on the measured surface of light lines, their registration with one or two cameras and further determination of the geometry of the object using a computing device. At that light lines are formed on the illuminated surface, for which the measured surface is uniformly illuminated by the fixed point or remote light source, and near the surface there is a thin rod (or stretched thread), the shadow of which forms the above dark line on the surface of the object and which moves manually relative to the surface, performing its scanning. One or two chambers fixed relative to the object record the shadow line and transmit said data to a computing device, where the coordinates of the points of the scanned surface are calculated.
EFFECT: reduced thickness of the projected lines, high accuracy and eliminating interference from glares.
