FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of materials and can be used for processing high hardness materials by end mills at depth of more than 2D. End mill comprises multiple teeth and grooves. Teeth and connected grooves have one or more correlated physical parameters. One such correlated parameter consists in that in axial position in first half of effective cutting length at least one tooth from multiple teeth has front angle smaller than average value of front angle of plurality of teeth, and in the same axial position, the groove preceding each such tooth has an inclination angle of the helical line greater than the average value of the inclination angle of the helical line of the plurality of grooves.
EFFECT: increased durability of cutter.
