FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in production of mill cutters. End mill has wavy helical face of the teeth with shifted wave tops and bottoms of every next tooth along tooth helical surface and smoothly conjugation with helical sections nearby mill working end. Teeth bottoms, tops and helical sections feature equal rakes proceeding from the condition that all extreme points of wavy cutting edge of every tooth are located at mill cylinder generatrix. Tooth cutting edge has V-like chip breaker groove. Lubricant-coolant feed channels are made inside the mill, their outlets being located in said grooves. Note here that the main channel is arranged in mill axis. Note also discharge channels are equally spaced from mill working end and inclined at the angle that allows lubricant-coolant feed into cutting zone in the area of radius of mill working end. Nest channels and aforesaid grooves are staggered in spacing between teeth.
EFFECT: longer life, better cutting.
