SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of material processing by cutting; it can be used for milling ledges and/or grooves. An end milling cutter contains at least one prong containing a cutting edge. The cutting edge contains the first sub-edge passing backward from a cutting end surface and the second sub-edge passing backward from the first sub-edge. Intersection of an angle transition defines, where the first sub-edge ends, and the second sub-edge begins. Structural features of implementation of each cutting edge are given.
EFFECT: milling cutter durability is increased.
