SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics, and consists in diagnostics of placental insufficiency degree in seropositive to cytomegalovirus women. That is ensured by taking the placenta fruit part after delivery, preparing the placenta homogenate and analyzing the content of progesterone and heat shock protein Hsp90 by an enzyme immunoassay. If the progesterone values are 140.34±4.52 nmol/l and heat shock protein Hsp90 104.71±3.06 ng/ml is used to diagnose compensated placental insufficiency. If the progesterone values are 97.30±3.46 nmol/l and heat shock protein Hsp90 161.26±2.91 ng/ml diagnosed subcompensated placental insufficiency. If the progesterone values are 53.41±1.57 nmol/l and heat shock protein Hsp90 220.86±3.65 ng/ml decompensated placental insufficiency is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention provides more accurate diagnosis of the severity of chronic placental insufficiency in seropositive to cytomegalovirus women.
