FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to a method for prediction of placental insufficiency in the second half of pregnancy in seropositive women to cytomegalovirus with the threat of miscarriage early by analysing blood serum with an enzyme immunoassay, wherein at 6–12 weeks of pregnancy, blood serum is analysed for IgM cytomegalovirus antibody and VEGF and sVEGF-R1 and the level of IgM antibodies to cytomegalovirus 2.0 Units/ml and more and the value of the ratio VEGF/sVEGF-R1 7.46 and less, placental insufficiency is predicted in the second half of pregnancy.
EFFECT: method described above enables higher accuracy of predicting placental insufficiency in the second half of pregnancy in seropositive women to cytomegalovirus with threatening miscarriage, which enables to prevent this pathology in order to reduce the risk of developing complications and unfavourable pregnancy outcomes.
